Do mine eyes deceive me?

That's right friends...a blog update! Due to my uninspired thoughts and just plain laziness, I've been lacking with the posts. Vegas has come and gone but I'm here to report of its events. My friends and I set out on the road May 1 after work. We only had one incident on they way to Vegas when our friend Julie got locked in the rest stop bathroom stall. While all of us deadbeats were lounging in the car, she had to rely on a complete stranger to come to her rescue and aid her climbing over the stall. Some friends we are.

We stayed at Imperial Palace. Jared and I got room #10 in the smoker's lounge/dungeon. It's a miracle we didn't get murdered. I also didn't get any cell reception in our basement room so I couldn't have called for help even if I wanted to. Besides our hole of a room, it wasn't bad. It's right in the middle of the strip and has the most amazing restaurant...Hash House A Go-Go. If you are ever in Vegas, you must go to this establishment to taste their "twisted farm food." You could feed an army with these over-sized portions.
Our first event was Barry Manilow. I thought I was a fanilow but boy do I have a lot to learn. I was concerned for the people surrounding #1 fanilow Ol' Big Bertha in the second row who looked like she was having a seizure when Barry came out. I was hoping Barry didn't venture within arms reach of her because she was likely to grasp him with her meaty claws. He, on-the-other-hand, was AMAZING. The voice still as clear and gentle as in his heyday. I could've listened to him for hours. The Paris theatre was awesome and intimate. Even seated where we were (2nd to last row) we were close enough to see expressions and all. I highly recommend this show.
The next day we went to Body World Exhibit at The Luxor. It was incredible and creepy all-in-one. The way these bodies are preserved are just unimaginable. I definitely learned a lot. We spent the rest of the day shopping along the strip. Made some great purchases at my fave store...MAC cosmetics at Caesar's Forum. From there Jared, Julie and I went to The Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage. Phe-nom-enal! Please please please take time to see this. Even if you're not a Beatles fan you will be completely mesmorized and entranced. I won't even elaborate because I wouldn't be able to put it into words. I can't even show you either because they are nazi's about no photos. Boo. It's definitely A MUST SEE!
After some shopping at the outlets, we made our way home after 3 days in Vegas. We stopped in Beaver to take a pic in "The Big Chair" for ~J and made it home safely. A memorable and fun getaway and I would be fortunate to return for a second trip in June (coming soon).

I think you and Jared would be super-fun Vegas-mates. I hope we get to go together sometime.

So you know how much Devin loves his Manilow...we actually have a code word for when we hear one of his songs on the radio;
"It's butter-face."
You can probably guess why that is.

Trista! I totally stalked you and I am so loving it! I am happy that you are still making people look good and that you are having a great time doing it. I wish I still lived there and you could make me look good :) Take care, lady
