Mr. Ukulele von Itchy Face

I check in frequently with my BF Jason Mraz's journal. He's inciteful, kind, witty and eco-friendly. I drink in his wisdom with a borderline unhealthy obsession. Well, his latest entry is just fun for all as it features this cute kid covering his song I'm Yours. It just goes to show that even if you can't understand the language, music speaks to the soul.

This is for you...Amy

You think The Snuggie couldn't get anymore ghetto? Think again. I needed a white elephant gift for our work party, so I was inspired to make a Redneck Snuggie. Snuggies are sold for $15-$20, but I spent a mere $4. Old sweatshirt...check. Blanket...check. Safety pins...check. Why buy a pre-made Snuggie when you can make your own? Thanks Deseret Industries! And thanks to my lovely model Etta who picked this lucky number as her gift.

Jello, whipped cream, and fritos

This my friends is the Thanksgiving meal of champions. My mother slaved away for days cooking and baking, but leave it to my niece to only eat items that I'm pretty sure were not devoured on the first Thanksgiving. The rest of the family, however, ate anything and everything that wasn't bolted down. It comes once a year and we knowingly put ourselves in misery for the comfort of food. Such joy is felt as that wonderous taste slids across our pallet creating this warm and satisfying feeling. Although in 15 mins, we know that we're going to be doubled over in pain as our bellies are filled way beyond capacity. Just as a turkey-induced coma renders us completely helpless, it's time for pie! Of course, you have to sample a "sliver" of 4 different pies to satisfy an already stuffed appetite. Yet after countless hours in the kitchen, consuming thousands of calories, and popping handfuls of tums, I would do it all again tomorrow...and probably will:)

The Slanket is out of commission

Last year I ranted about this ridiculous product called The Slanket. You know...the blanket with sleeves. I also mentioned that The Snuggie was the poor man's slanket. The Snuggie is more affordable which is great in these hard economic times. It has gained overwhelming popularity and has overtaken all my favorite store shelves. Well, my friend found this new advertisement for The Snuggie and I loved it. I hope you will too.

Selective environmentalist

I have tried to do my part with being better to the environment. A smaller carbon footprint if you will. It seems with every good habit I've incorporated, I still have an old one to break. I've cut down on my plastics waste by using reusable grocery bags. They are very efficient and much easier to carry around since they hold about 3 plastic bags worth of product. I just put them in the trunk of my car or keep the collapsible ones in my purse so I have them on hand. And since my purse is the size of a piece of carry-on luggage, this is usually sufficient to carry any extra items. Although, my roommates have yet to adopt the same passion I have for reusable bags, I make sure we take any plastic bags back to the stores to recycle properly. At the urging of the Biggest Loser and the fact I moved to a 3rd floor apartment, I have stopped buying bottled water. A Brita water filter and a reusable bottle are the way to go...trust me. We also take advantage of the recycling bins that our apartment complex provide. I try so hard to reduce waste, but I still would rather buy food in individual containers instead of bulk for convenience sake ie. pre-cut fruit or 100 calorie packs. I'd rather spent a little more than have to cut or divide it up myself. I also have a hard time not using plastic produce bags. Just the thought of all the loose produce rolling around in my cart makes me uneasy.

Energy wise, I've saved by turning off lights when leaving a room, unplugging any appliances that are not being used, and using energy efficient light bulbs. All this effort though and I still leave the tv on at night to fall asleep and leave the bathroom fan on most of the time. I guess I just feel that this is an area that you need a little "white noise" if you catch my drift.

I'm a sucker for buying products if they are eco-friendly. I have a vast selection of pens and notebooks make from recycled materials. I just saw a commercial for sponges that are also eco-friendly. I'm sure I'll bring these into use at my home, but I don't see me getting rid of those lovely disposable clorox wipes I've come to love. While being as environmentally conscious as I try to be, I realize there are some definite ways I could improve. So for now I'll accept my strengths and weaknesses and embrace my wannabe environmentalist ways.

It was a monster mash

I love Halloween! Who wouldn't enjoy pumpkin carving, dressing up, and eating candy by the truckloads? I usually visit Frightmares at Lagoon, but I didn't get the chance to go this year. *tear* I spent weeks figuring out the perfect costume. My mind was flooded with ideas and I had a hard time narrowing it down. It only took about 20 ideas before I finally settled on being a Geisha. And I'm super proud of the fact that it only cost me $12. Yeah! It'll be a challenge to beat it next year

Like no pain I've felt before

I have wanted a tattoo FOREVER and I finally did it last night. My love for the Beatles will transcend through the years with me now. I chose a yellow submarine since it's bright, colorful and brings a smile to my face. It's recognizable without having their actual names or faces printed.

I was anticipating the worse kind of pain and expectations were definitely met. Being tattooed has been described to me as a simple scratch or a million razor blades being dragged across the body. The later was a more accurate description. The outline began and it was no problem. Moving across the bones near the toes did sting quite a bit, but I was still in control. After an hour or so the shading began. I've never felt pain like that before. My body wanted to convulse and jump off the table. I tried talking, deep breathing, and watching a movie that my artist had on in the room, but nothing helped. He just kept saying it was a mental game. It was excruciating. I sat through 3 1/2 painstaking hours and I just about lost it during the last hour. I could feel the tears start to well up, but Tash talked me out of it and kept telling me, "It doesn't hurt. You're doing great." My body could not be convinced, but I made it! Thankfully, Tash stayed with me and supported me during this experience. Jared and the kiddies also brought their support out as well. Unfortunately, it is not completed. I will be going back in to finish the background and I'm not looking forward to it.

Ping Hong Anyone?

The parentals decided to make another addition to their house...a ping pong table. The pool table has been collecting dust over the past few months, so naturally it needed to be upgraded. Braeleigh was completely fascinated by the "ping hong" table and barely let us get in a game without her. I discovered that I need a little bit more practice as I was beaten by both Ash and my mom. As many of you have seen my "game face", you know I can be quite vocal and competitive. Brae was very observant and mimicked my actions as she played with grandma.

September is for concerts

I refrained from buying any concert tickets for about a year. All thanks to my trip to Europe. I was going through withdrawls and luckily some of my favorite people were coming my way. They just happen to all fall during the month of September. Blink 182 opened up concert season with their reunion tour. The last time they came was 2004 and I went with my sisters. Naturally, we all wanted to go again. Tasha camped out during the day at UVU hoping to gain access to Travis Barker. In the end, she and Chris met Mark. Tragically, only Chris got to hang with Travis. Ash and I met no one since we didn't quite make an effort. It was a lot of fun and brought me back to my youth.
Keith Urban followed 2 days later. FANTASTIC! What a musician! What a voice! What an entertainer! And what a face! The accent doesn't hurt either. I almost missed out on this concert. Tickets went on sale before our Europe trip and seeing that I already set a goal not to spend money on concerts...I didn't. Darla was persistent enough that when we got back from our trip, she bought tickets off of eBay. Luckily, she snagged one up for me. We sat on the 26th row on the floor on the aisle. The very aisle he walked down to get to the back of the arena. As I scrambled for my camera, I turned into a sorority girl. Screaming like a lunatic and loosing all sense of composure. I took a pic as he was within feet of me and then panic set in. I just started grabbing from there. His arm although delicate was firm...and sweaty. I think I blacked out a moment. I came to just in time for Darla to tell me to run towards the end stage. I darted through the crowd like a panther. And there I stood in amazement as he serenaded the crowd. What a night! Keith had us hypnotized. When he said clap, we clapped until our hands bled. We he said sing, we screamed the lyrics at the top of our lungs. He had the crowd jumping and swooning at the same time. I highly recommend to everyone that they take the opportunity to see this aussie at work. You will not be disappointed.

Beatlemania Part Deux

With the release of Beatles Rockband, can I tell you how excited I am that we're re-living the days of Beatlemania?! I always wished that I was there to experience it first-hand, but I'll take what I can get. I was in 8th grade when I stumbled upon The Beatles. The anthology was first being aired in a series on TV. Being the nerd that I am and the fact that I love documentaries, I decided to watch it. I can't explain the emotion that I felt as I heard their story described through the 3 remaining Beatles. With their music as a background, it piqued my interest. The anthology soundtrack was the first cd I bought with their music. It had a compilation of their earlier works, live appearances, and some outtakes. The music collection snowballed from there. Plus, I plastered my room with posters and pics. I guess you could say they were my first boyband obsession:)

Paul was always my favorite. Of course, he was the "cute" one, but I also melt whenever I hear his voice. Musical genius is all I can use to describe him. John was also impressive to me and perhaps the most creative. I love how deep their songs can touch you or be so simple just to put a smile on your face. George doesn't get enough credit. I'm sure it was hard to live in the shadows of John and Paul. He did have some great music and an amazing musician. And what can I say about Ringo? I love his charm and goofiness. Not blessed with the greatest voice, but how could you not have a special place in your heart for Ringo.

As I was reading last week's issue of Entertainment Weekly, I noticed that they had compiled a list of The Beatles top 50 songs. I had some disagreements, so I thought I would share my own top 10 list. It is up for debate, and it probably has and will change depending on my mood. For now though, this is what my list consists of:

1. Let It Be
2. In My Life
3. Hey Jude
4. We Can Work It Out
5. The Long and Winding Road
6. Getting Better
7. Yellow Submarine
8. Day Tripper
9. Help!
10. Love Me Do

Wow, that was hard. Like EW, I think top 50 would be more appropriate, but I just don't have that kinda time.

Camping Griswolds' Style

Finally this was the weekend that everyone was able to meet up to go camping at Yuba Lake. It's been a pretty unusual summer since this marked my first time jet-skiing and it's August. Unfortunately, the winds decided to turn our campsite into a tornado. We had the campground and lake to ourselves. We figured we were the only ones brave enough to face the elements. My mom and dad bought a tent at Wal-Mart so we wouldn't be cramped in the trailer, but wouldn't you know? It's a shotty piece of work. We didn't even have it set up an hour before one of the poles broke. We had to move it a few times and jimmy-rig it together. Luckily, Tash and Chris got one night of shelter out of it. I guess it was a one-time use tent. This is the quality you get from Wal-Mart. Other than that, we enjoyed the sun, the food, and just chillaxin' as Tash would say. Just one of the broken poles
Learn from my mistakes :)

Paris

This being my first trip out of the country, I was a bit apprehensive. I was worried about the language, the people, and just being...lost. Yes, although most of these proved to be barriers, I still had a blast and found that I can be anywhere in the world and be ok. The flight was long, our hotel was in shambles, and we walked about 50 miles during the 5 days we spent in Paris. Ok, the last part may be a bit overexaggerated, but seriously I could barely walk from all the soreness in my muscles. The city of Paris is a bit on the dirty side. It smells like garbage and everyone smokes. The amount of people walking the streets all the time is mind-boggling. There are people everywhere. Doesn't anyone work? We did have a couple of snooty looks, but overall the people there weren't as rude as I've been told. The food...my goodness...the food. I loved how fresh and simple everything was. Sandwiches, crepes, pastries and even the Coke tasted better.

We mainly stuck to the touristy sites. I've never seen so many sculptures and paintings. Notre Dame was awesome! After climbing up the the bell tower I thought my knees were going to give out. Definitely worth it though. The Louvre was very grand and it was hard to take it all in. The Mona Lisa was a bit disappointing since I'd built it up in my head. Still cool though. I loved the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing to stand atop and look down onto the city. And when the twinkle lights came on after dark, it was simply breathtaking. The day before we came home we made a quick jaunt to the Arc de Triompe since we missed it during the first leg of the trip. I wouldn't say I loved Paris, but I did love the architecture and culture that represents it. I do hope to go back someday.

From beyond the grave

I'm finally breaking my unintentional blog hiatus. I wish I could tell you that my summer has just been jam-packed and I couldn't possibly find the time to blog, but alas I'm just lazy. I've been working quite a bit since I spent all my vacation in April when I went to Europe. (First on my list to blog) I've been stuck at work watching everyone else leave for vacation...and it sucks...big time. I tortured myself by watching The Bachelorette on yet another disappointing season. My first concert of the year was American Idol in July. The best part of the entire concert was Adam who completely stole the show from Chris what's-his-name. Jared, Ro, and I have spent quality time watching movies, playing games, and even taking a trip to the Nickelcade which I still have a bag of nickels to spend. All in all, it's been a great laid-back summer and I'm sad to see it end.

Another reason Wal-Mart is ridiculous

I got this email from my cousin and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this with you...my many friends with a disgust for Wal-Mart. Keep in mind this actually happened with a cake from Wal-Mart. This was for someone who was moving from an insurance claims office.
Okay so this is how I imagine this conversation went:

Walmart Employee: 'Hello 'dis be Walmarts, how can I help you?'
Customer: ' I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week.'
Walmart Employee: 'What you want on da cake?'
Customer: 'Best Wishes Suzanne' and underneath that 'We will miss you'.

I Love My Mom

My mom is the absolute coolest lady around. I couldn't get through life without her. She is my greatest supporter and whom I trust the most. I call her at the drop of a hat and she is never too busy to listen to me. I am the person I am today because of her...all the good that is:) I love her dearly and am so grateful I was blessed to be her daughter.

Please enjoy my fav Mother's Day clip

What's in a name?

Ordering at Kentucky Fried Chicken can be quite a task. You never know from what walks of life, your KFC associate will be from. The other day we had this nice, redneck fellow. He asked for our names in order to let us know when our food was ready. I proceeded to spell out my name since no one ever gets it right. It's usually misspelled or a completely different name is written ie. Krista, Crystal, Tristan. However, when my friend got her ticket back, I was amused and bewildered. I have never seen Diana spelled this way before. It almost looks like a threat...DIE ANNA. I hope this hillbilly will not be entering any spelling bees soon.

Ciao to Italia

So I really didn't think I would have time to blog on vacation, but since we've had internet access pretty much everywhere we've stayed, I guess I'd better write a tid bit of information. We've been in Italy for about a week and a half now and we're finally moving onto London tomorrow. Italy has been a wonderful place to visit. The people here are super friendly which has been helpful since we have no idea where we are half of the time. A couple admirers have been nice enough to invade my personal space with a peck on the cheek or hand and I've also had their love professed to me. I will be sad to leave, but I'm looking forward to a place where there won't be as many language barriers. Hope you're all having fun without me and next time I'll hopefully post some pics. Arrivedecci! Not sure of the spelling

It's The Final Countdown

Well friends, after months of planning, researching, and anticipation, it's FINALLY time to bid you a farewell for a few weeks. I will be leaving for Paris in less than 36 hours. Darla, Tiffany, and I will be enjoying the wonderful sights of France, Italy, and England. And I know you are all so jealous. Hopefully, I'll be able to post some pics as soon as I get back. Wish me luck!

Yet another tag...

I guess I will comply to the rules and complete my tag. Here are the rules for this tag:
a) List 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! and b) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

1. Reality shows make me cry. I always tear up at least once while watching Biggest Loser and American Idol. I guess I'm a softy.
2. I can recite Dirty Dancing word for word.
3. I didn't try chinese food until I was 20. Growing up in Sanpete there are just not that many options and we were a "meat and potatoes" family.
4. I've always been paranoid that my house will catch on fire in the middle of the night. I always have to include it in my prayers before I go to bed.
5. I have a ridiculous, sickening amount of useless pop culture knowledge.
6. I've never had a bloody nose.
7. When I was 5, we were coming home from Provo and I was sleeping in the back seat. We hit a deer and I fell off the seat. I was screaming that I was bleeding so my parents pulled over only to find that the "blood" that I felt was actually just my tears.
8. I've always wanted a tattoo. A yellow submarine. Although I could never think of a good enough place to put it.
9. I have been caught "shoplifting" at Shopko. Although it's not what you think.
and I saved the best for last...
10. Until I was in 6th grade, I slept with a nightlight and my mom tucked me into bed. Yep, 6th grade.

I tag: Tasha, Sha, Elise, Amy, Marlyce, Sharee, and Debra.

Busy week already...

Although it's only Wednesday, I'm exhausted.  On Monday, I had the opportunity to audition for an Aveda Freelance Advisor (AFA).  I had to perform a timed full face makeup application and have it judged to see if I have what it takes to work as a freelance makeup artist for Aveda.  I'm happy to report that I was chosen as one of four advisors for this area.  I'm so excited!  I'm sure you know how much I LOVE makeup so this is a great new opportunity for me to use my expertise to help others and allows me to gain experience to develop new skills.  As an AFA I can travel around to other Aveda salons to offer assistance for events. Yeah for me!  I had my first training yesterday and we were able to practice trend makeup on each other.   It was great to try something new. I can't wait for my first call.

Then today I spend the first part of my day at the Big Business and Technology Expo at UVU.  I think this happens semi-annually and is filled with businesses either networking or advertising new business.  There are some great activities and food to enjoy.  We also have a booth set up there so come on by and enjoy a paraffin dip or a chair massage.

Free at last!

The torturous season of The Bachelor FINALLY ended. I don't know what I'm going to do with all my free time now. Let's recap at how mind-boggling this season was. It started out great. Jason tried to see who was there for the right reasons and he sifted and rejected some crazies ie. Natalie, Lauren, and Shannon. And even though he was very...affectionate (since I don't want to offend anyone with my other description) with everyone, I still tried look past his indescretions as it is a part of the show. What really upset me though was that he gave Jillian the boot after their racy hot tub activities saying they didn't have any passion just friendship. Well, Mr. Jason I cannot remember a time when I was more uncomfortable watching two friends hang out. Clearly there was a little bit more to this relationship. I am, however, delighted that Jillian will be back to be the next Bachelorette.

As for the finale, in Chris Harrison's words was "the most dramatic episode in Bachelor history." Deanna's return was too hyped up. I was so excited all season for her to come in and turn everything upside down yet that did not happen. It was pretty lame and Jason could've cared less, but from the sobbing balcony scene, you would've thought that he was torn up about her. That was not the case my friends. I love the end of the Bachelor, because it is built up as a fantasy and for the time being I love watching two people pledge their love to each other. I know that it won't last, but at least I have this one night. This great feeling lasted about 10 mins until 'After the Final Rose.' I'm still having a hard time believing that he would break up with Melissa to go back to Molly. I did not like Molly at all. She looks good on paper and she knew how to say the right things, but I could never tell if she was being really sincere. Plus, Melissa was way better with Ty. I know that some of my fellow followers are fans of Molly so please don't take offense...Sha:) I find it hard to believe that someone could fall in love that fast and ask them to marry him only after 2 months. I guess it shouldn't surprise me since I do meet many brides with whirlwind romances in Happy Valley. I just wish that he would've picked one to pursue without proposing. I suppose it is good to end it now instead of keeping up a charade. I'm just disappointed. I just wanted one night full of happiness and sappy love proclamations. Alas, now I'll have to wait and suffer another Bachelor season as I cannot turn my back on it. I'm once again...addicted.

My baby beats your baby

No, I still don't have a baby of my own, so I'll have to use my niece. Everyone else blogs about the funny things their kids say and I was feeling left out. It's crazy, but Braeleigh is already 2 1/2. Growing up with 5 aunts and only 1 uncle she's learned to be pretty sassy. She loves playing with her imaginary friend Sammy (who is always in trouble for being naughty) Also, she is obsessed with chapstick and will always steal yours right out of your pocket or purse. These are some of my fav moments.

Brae's Dictionary
City Booty = Sleeping Beauty
Pop me = I'd like a drink of soda
Turn around = Please dance with me

Fists of Fury: I need a hug
Brae: Well, I need 4 dollars

Grandma: Your hair is so cute today.
Brae: Thank you
Grandma: I just love your hair (3 hours later)
Brae: You already said that today Grandma

Trista: Brae, quit jumping on me that hurts
Brae: But I'm just kidding
Trista: I know you're kidding, but don't do that
Brae: [Throws her hands up in disgust, sighs very loudly, and stomps off in a huff] This is her young Prince Phillip face from Sleeping Beauty

Scaredy Cat

Being scared is such a thrill isn't it? We love to go to scary movies, haunted houses, and rollercoasters all for that heart-racing, stomach-dropping high. We tend to seek out these activities, but if someone scares us intentionally then that is just not cool. Not cool for the scaree, but hilarious for the scarer. I think I may be making up words now. Growing up, my sisters and I loved to stand outside the bathroom door waiting to jump out at each other. It just doesn't get better than that. Blood-curdling shrieks are unleased, faces are distorted beyond recognition, and hands clench up in fists as if going to defense mode. You think that we'd grow out of this at some point, but it was just a month or so ago when Baby Spice attacked again. (That's my youngest sis for those that may not know.)

Operation: Give Trista a stroke happened about 8 years ago. I was living in GhettoBriar and had grabbed a bite to eat with my roomie one friday evening. Upon entering our apartment, I had just waltzed into the living room while chatting it up when I turned around and noticed my roomie standing frozen in the doorway. She was barely able to point and mutter "whiteboard". I looked into the kitchen...there was a message on our board....we're in your house! I think I may have passed out. After I regained conciousness and my sight my roomie asks:

-What do we do?
-I don't know!
The phone rings. I stupidly answer it. I can only hear heavy breathing. I hang up.
- Let's go!
-But someone's in our house!
Phone rings again. The stereo in my room comes on full blast.

I'm surprised I didn't break an ankle bolting down the stairs, but now we are in the parking lot. My roomie is crying hysterically and I'm looking concerned at our apt with the door wide open. We're dumb girls and have no idea what to do. So we decide to drive over to a friend's apt that's only 4 buildings away. Just as we are driving out onto the street we see 3 guys running after us. I'm terrified and have lost the ability to move. I start to recognize them as they get closer. I step out of the car and break down in tears when I realize that they are so-called friends of mine. They are in stitches, falling all over themselves laughing at how hilarious they are. They aren't. I'm fuming at this point and apologies are made. They're lucky I'm not smart enough to call the cops. I made the mistake of telling them that our door locks sucked and that they could be opened with a credit card. Apparently, they were just paying me a visit when they saw us leave. They let themselves in and hid in my bedroom. I share this as an example of how situations can be taken too far. I can laugh at this now, but only after many years of torment. I'll just stick to the simple yet effective bathroom scaring method.

Finally bloggin' again

I've been absent for a while and I guess I'd better get on the stick and update my blog. Starting on a bittersweet note, a couple weeks ago my dear sweet Grandma B passed away. It was definitely a sad time for us to lose her. I'm glad that she had prepared us for that moment and we were blessed to be able to say our goodbyes. She is one of the most inspirational people I've known. I'm grateful to her and my Grandpa for their kindness and generosity. Had they not opened their home to my dad, life as I know it would be non-existent. She displayed such honesty, patience and faith. I will always look to her as an example. I love and miss her dearly.

Other than that, I've just been working my tail off at the spa trying to earn some money for my trip. Unfortunately, our spa has been affected a bit with the economy. I'm lucky to have some pretty faithful clients who keep me busy. And if anyone's looking for something to do for Valentine's, we have a wonderful "date night" package that you and your loved one can enjoy together. *shameless plug* I guess if you can't make it to the spa for Valentine's, I hope you all have a Happy freakin' Valentine's Day. Nope I'm not bitter at all :)

My love-hate relationship with The Bachelor

I love The Bachelor. I always have. I've watched almost every season except for the one with "Brad" who didn't choose any of the girls. I applaud him for that. This season it's even better because it's Jason. He is an ideal candidate. He's good-looking, a caring father and all-around nice guy. I watched his heartbreak on The Bachelorette when Deanna dumped him. I couldn't believe it. I was very irrate. He's better off anyway right? Well, it's his turn now. However, as I watched the first two episodes, it makes me wonder why I keep tuning in to the show. It makes me cringe to see these women throwing themselves at him trying to make that "connection." I'm literally embarrassed. The women are so manipulating and needy I can hardly stand it. And I hate awkwardness which seems to be at every turn. Did anyone catch the lady with the vision boards? It was hilarious. She's a little too into her dog and she makes these collages of things she wants to happen. It looks like a kindergarten project. Then she visualizes these things and they come true. Yep, she was cut the first night. So much for the vision boards. Even though I barely made it through tonight's grueling episode, I will endure to the end. No matter how much I despise the event's of this show, I just can't seem to turn it off. Maybe there is a support group out there for me. Bachelor addicts anonymous.

Mascara slump

What makes an optimal mascara? What qualities do you look for? This may seem a bit trivial, but I'm in search for a superior mascara. I've been on this topic for about week now and I'm calling out for help. I have gone through endless amounts of mascara and have yet to find my ideal mascara. I've used M.A.C 'X' for a couple years now with adequate results, however, I would love to be wowed or at least just love my mascara. It seems no matter how much I spend on a tube, $3 or $30 I'm always disappointed. While watching "BLUSH - the search for the next great makeup artist" Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara was mentioned in one of the challenges. So what did I do the next day? I went to Wal-Mart of all places (since they are the only store I know of that carries Max Factor) to pick up my very own tube to try out. The first day I tried it I thought I had finally found it! Lengthening, thickening, no clumping and my eyelash curler didn't stick to it. What a glorious day! I ranted and raved about it to everyone...even my sister who is a make-up artist. Well, two weeks later my tube was already drying up. I could tell the consistency wasn't holding up, but I refused to believe it and still applied til my heart was content. Two hours later it had flaked off underneath my eye creating that "sick and dead look." Needless to say, I'm back to 'X'. I'm intrigued with L'Oreal's new beauty tube mascara. I guess this mascara coats your lashes to create a similar effect that lash extentions provide. I think this will be my next venture. Wish me luck.
